Art Deco French Cut Steel Beaded Handbag Brass Frame
Wonderful vintage French silver and grey steel beaded purse with a geometric pattern sewn on both sides using faceted beads. The pattern reminds me of a rabbit. The inside is lined with a silk fabric. The brass frame has a nice raised geometric pyramid design on both sides and a short hand chain. The beads are all sewn individually into place and the bag is sewn to the frame. All original. There is a tag sewn onto the silk lining: Made in France
The frame measures about 4 3/8 inches across, while the bag is about 4 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches, with a 1 1/4 inch gusset at the bottom. Excellent condition, with very minor damage to the silk lining. No missing beads.
